    I read this book primarily for Prichard s essay on the history of doctrine in the Episcopal Church, which was quite good though left me wanting to read his dissertation The essays here are of uneven quality, with some veering towards reactionary polemic and others exhibiting model graciousness and thoughtfulness If nothing else, it is an interesting case study in the moderate to conservative postliberal position in early 1990s Episcopalianism.
