This series tries really hard It is definitely a product of a great deal of effort In the end, though, I came away with the impression that the author was somewhat naive I know these impressions are often in error, but it is what it is.Basically, it is the usual story about the misunderstood kid who finds a way to a secret world There he finds the fae, finds out he s super duper special, and finds his true love All of this just happens with ease despite the supposed evil lurking in Fae.As t This series tries really hard It is definitely a product of a great deal of effort In the end, though, I came away with the impression that the author was somewhat naive I know these impressions are often in error, but it is what it is.Basically, it is the usual story about the misunderstood kid who finds a way to a secret world There he finds the fae, finds out he s super duper special, and finds his true love All of this just happens with ease despite the supposed evil lurking in Fae.As the story progressed it started to lose me People paired up with remarkable regularity. Great fantasy story I was a little bit disappointed when the group crossed over into the human realm I liked all of the characters who were well developed The writing was smooth with only a few bumps in the road Beware the cliff hanger ending.
