    I received a copy of this as a Christmas present this year and have enjoyed reading it Perhaps helped by the fact that I know areas of Manchester well, and have lived very close to some of the areas discussed in the book Very interesting to learnabout the history of what are very familiar buildings What I also like about this book is that it is not just about Victorian Manchester instead, the book takes us on a journey briefly covering early Manchester, but also discussing the decline I received a copy of this as a Christmas present this year and have enjoyed reading it Perhaps helped by the fact that I know areas of Manchester well, and have lived very close to some of the areas discussed in the book Very interesting to learnabout the history of what are very familiar buildings What I also like about this book is that it is not just about Victorian Manchester instead, the book takes us on a journey briefly covering early Manchester, but also discussing the decline and re invention of Manchester in the late twentieth and early twenty first centuries
