Some very far fetched moments, but a quick and fun plot.

Even though this series has never been realistic, it was nevertheless entertaining and intriguing, keeping me looking forward to the new installment But now this series has gone from unrealistic to downright ridiculous Reed has turned into a one woman circus She attracts jerks, jealous psychos, murderers and stalkers like moths to a flame I am considering abandoning this series, something that I hadn t considered before, that s how bad things have gotten I ll await the third installment of Even though this series has never been realistic, it was nevertheless entertaining and intriguing, keeping me looking forward to the new installment But now this series has gone from unrealistic to downright ridiculous Reed has turned into a one woman circus She attracts jerks, jealous psychos, murderers and stalkers like moths to a flame I am considering abandoning this series, something that I hadn t considered before, that s how bad things have gotten I ll await the third installment of the Privilege series At least that one shows some potential Book Details Title Suspicion Private, Book 10 Author Kate BrianReviewed By Purplycookie

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here Ok this is where the series ends for me, I won t be continuing This just took a while new turn I feel this series is plot on top of plot, nothing is consistent from the start or building from the start The whole kidnapping thing, because Reed was dating toy boy Upton, was just bleh Her hallucinations etc on the island were also just cringe worthy Then the cliffhanger being Billings being pulled down, I am done

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here I normally never flag my reviews as having spoilers because I normally avoid them like the plague I hate, hate, HATE having anything ruined or even mildly tainted by having foreknowledge of it But for the tenth book in the Private series, I have to make an exception It sucked so hard I know I can t help but give specifics in explaining my hatred for it, particularly given that I have always been a fan of this series and generally rate it highly.I was no great fan of the ninth book Para I normally never flag my reviews as having spoilers because I normally avoid them like the plague I hate, hate, HATE having anything ruined or even mildly tainted by having foreknowledge of it But for the tenth book in the Private series, I have to make an exception It sucked so hard I know I can t help but give specifics in explaining my hatred for it, particularly given that I have always been a fan of this series and generally rate it highly.I was no great fan of the ninth book Paradise Lost , and was chagrined that this tenth one finds the Billings Girls still on St Barths, along with a crew of indistinguishable meanies and hangers on who the eff is West and the completely not believable love interest, Upton Giles am I the only woman on earth who could give a rat s about British accents I talked in my review of the ninth book about my hatred of vacation books, but this one really pushes it If you ve read others in this series you know that they usually begin with the action from the previous book having finished, even if it ended in a cliffhanger e.g., at the end of book 8, Sabine had pulled a gun on Reed and at the beginning of book 9, we re well past that and looking back on it This one, however, picks up right where we left off, with Reed treading water having been pushed off the back of a boat We get several chapters worth of treading water, and it s as interesting as it sounds.Believe it or not, this one goes downhill from there there s the usual Private stuff, paranoia, shoulders coiling, rich people throwing elaborate parties at a moment s notice, 16 year olds never being carded but it reaches it s bottom when for like 1 3 of the book and this one is really short Not to mention the binding feels a bit cheaper, in spite of being the same price as usual Reed is kidnapped and stuck on a deserted island Her crappy Blue Lagoon esque existence not only stretches the limits of believability, it is also beyond tedious I was honestly getting worried the book was going to finish out that way, and the beginning of book 11 would have her still on the gd island since to date the series had always run in 4 book story arcs Mercifully, we finish this plot arc in its entirety and get hints of the next one within this book However, we don t do it without making older women look like crazy sexual predators cougars have officially infiltrated YA and with having to go through pages and pages of the other characters tired reactions we should have believed you, someone was really trying to kill you, etc. Also I have to say and I ve implied this in earlier reviews I am sick to death of Reed as a character Every, every man she meets falls in love with her, in spite of her having no clear positive personal qualities except regularly being justified in her paranoia and apparently, based on this book, being relatively resourceful as a result But seriously, rich men are not waiting their whole lives for women from a different world than the one they know They are waiting for women who are hot, stupid, will have commitment free sex with them, and when it s time for commitment, will sign any pre nup, no matter how draconian Every time Reed has some Thomas flashback and yet another guy tells her he ll slow things down as much as she needs, I m worried my eyes will never stop rolling ALL OF THAT SAID, the plot for the next book seems semi promising, and since they ll be back at school, I think I ll read it I ve liked this series too well to let a hideous two book vacation arc kill it for me, so I feel I need to give it a second no actually this would be third chance Again, I have always hated vacation books, but I m pretty sure I would have found this plot to stretch the limits of plausibility no matter where they were.ALSO got to love how the center girl on the cover is VERY CLEARLY wearing the same bracelet the new Ariana is on the cover of the second Privilege book, Beautiful Disaster I don t know if it s cost cutting or a lazy stylist, but um embarrassing much

Suspicion is about how Reed was rescued after being thrown off the boat litterally She tries to prove that Poppy tried to kill her since she hates her, she learns about Uptons past affair with a older women She get s kidnapped and put onto a deserted island on while she s holding on to her life she becomes delusional and thinks she sees her dead ex Tommy In the end the killer didn t turn out to be Poppy since they came to the realization that she s not smart enough, it was someone no one eve Suspicion is about how Reed was rescued after being thrown off the boat litterally She tries to prove that Poppy tried to kill her since she hates her, she learns about Uptons past affair with a older women She get s kidnapped and put onto a deserted island on while she s holding on to her life she becomes delusional and thinks she sees her dead ex Tommy In the end the killer didn t turn out to be Poppy since they came to the realization that she s not smart enough, it was someone no one ever expected I m giving it a text to text because it reminds me of the Pretty Little Liars series With all the killings and no one knowing who it is plus there all rich the only diffrence is that the girls in Private go to a boarding school Best friends betraying bestfriends and killers pltting there next kill I gaveit 5 stars becuase of the cliff hanger in the last book Then only thing that ran through my mind was is Reed dead Did Poppy really try to kill Reed Since Ariana could do it and Poppy obviously hates Reed since Upton chose Reed over Poppy It was perfect

took us long enough to figure out whose been bothering reed and i mean i loved upton through and through throughout the whole book, i mean he means wells and tries to be a good guy but he just has this messed up past being a womanizer however these books are beginning to become repetitive, same old plot line some one is out to get reed and she tells her friends that someone is stalking her they don t believe her that is until some drastic things happen to her they realize that she is right took us long enough to figure out whose been bothering reed and i mean i loved upton through and through throughout the whole book, i mean he means wells and tries to be a good guy but he just has this messed up past being a womanizer however these books are beginning to become repetitive, same old plot line some one is out to get reed and she tells her friends that someone is stalking her they don t believe her that is until some drastic things happen to her they realize that she is right I enjoyed the first four books with our old characters when things were a bitbelievable, things now areridiculous..however im determined to finish this series

I read this in the Caribbean, where the majority of this book takes place, so that was really cool As far as the story goes, this one was crazy Poor Reed She s been through so much in 10 books, and there sto come I really liked seeing a sweeter side of Noelle in this one, and I liked getting to know Sawyer better as well. Also I was lying on the beach reading about Reed s horrible sunburn.only to end up horribly sunburned myself

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here I have no idea why the author felt like we needed another Private book set on an island where people are trying to kill Reed, and yet here we are This book was literally a repeat of everything I hated about the previous book, which is super disappointing I m hoping that the next book gets things back on track.
